Guest guest
I'm feeling lazy and will probably either do pierogies (sp) or snack wraps from Mcs. As my 19 year old will be home from college for the summer, beginning tomorrow, I think we'll be really lazy and go out for dinner somewhere; maybe at Outback, or some Mexican place...I like hearing the dinner ideas though...keep 'em coming. I need more ideas for my kids. Chili, baked ziti and chicken parm can get old when that's all that you make! lol.Love to all,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sat, April 23, 2011 3:28:09 PMSubject: Re: What's for dinner? Guest guest
It's too hot here to cook so all I'm planning is salad! I have lettuce, tomatoes, radishes all chilled and ready to go. Guest guest
Well, Mr Rob called to tell me they are on their way, should be here tomorrow or early Friday, depends on how much driving his victim can do at one shot...oh yes, she is coming too, but not because he wants her here, but because she is driving the van he bought while up there, he doesn't want to have to go back up to get it so he talked her into driving tandem with him. She'll stay a few days then fly back, that will be when he tells her they're not an "item" anymore. Nice, huh? She and he will stay with Elaine. Mikey will stay here. I know because she called Elaine to ask if it was ok and Elaine called me to tell me about it. She also told Elaine she is bringing food....funny thing is, SHE told Elaine the food is for her, while Rob said it is for US....doesn't really matter, from what he said there is enough to share, and Mikey has his food card, and mine just got refilled today, so we're good on groceries. Which brings me to (FINALLY!) answer the dinner question. Corned beef and cabbage. I had a second one in the freezer, and what with all that food coming I decided to make it, because Robbin loves it SO much and I didn't want to try to eek it out for 4 or more people. It would have made 3 with no problem, so we both literally had our fill, and Robbin doesn't know I have more hidden in the fridge (if he did, he would stuff himself and this way there will be some surprise sammiches for him tomorrow) Meantime, we have a HUGE storm coming in, I have a candle lit and Robbin has the flashlight, after the other day I am not taking any chances...
