Guest guest
Together with my siblings I am trying to persuade my mother to start video chatting, I think that especially talking to her youngest grandchildren will be easier on video than on phone. So, a few weeks ago, when my two sister's were visiting with mum (together with their families, and, in this case more especially, together with their iPads), we decided that I should try and Skype them, while they were there, so that mum could try it too. First time, mum was resting and they didn't want to disturb her, but next time I called she was up and about. My younger sister answered, told me that mum was available, and handed her the iPad (called "those trays", by our dear mother...). Mum looked confused and wondered what she was supposed to do with that thing, "Talk, of course" said my sister."Why should I talk to the tray?", mum asked."Well, perhaps you''d like to talk to your kid", said my sister."I thought that's what I was doing? Which kid do you mean?" my mother wondered, and I heard my sister answer in the tone only she can use:"The one in the tray, mum"....Well, she did like it, especially that she could show what she has been doing with the garden etc. Now we just need to get her to buy something she can use for it, be it a "tray" or otherwise...love/Reb
