Guest guest
Switching to HD makes a big difference too. Especially when you understand that the "image enhancer"-setting should be turned off when watching digital TV... We didn't know that when our TV was new, and "image enhancer" does sound like something that would enhance the image, doesn't it?? Wrong. If the signal is digital (as with HD TV broadcasts, for instance), the "image enhancer" will actually distort the image somewhat... But after we got wiser about that and turned the "image enhancer" off, on our TV, we have crystal clear picture. love/Reb> > >> >> > They just grow, and grow, don't they... ;-)> >> > I know has told me that when her family got a new TV when she was> > about 5 or 6 she said: "That's not a TV – it's a cinema!". Guest guest
This thing is ridiculously large for our little house, but with (a) my bad bad eyesight and ( the fact that half the time I'm watching from another room, the bigger one sure is nice! And even at 46 " , it doesn't loom as large as the 32 " tube one that USED to be in that corner! Guest guest
Neither one of us see well enough to be able to tell a difference between " regular " and " HD " - we tried at the TV store, when the salesman was trying to show us how much " better " HD is. We felt bad to tell him it looked exactly the same...
