The proton density in April went up to 19. Thus far proton density for the June 14 CME remains much lower. Links to the April 3 and June 14 CMEs follow. On June 15 NASA posted news of the June 14 CME with prediction that it MAY make a glancing blow on the earth’s magnetic field by June 17. Solar activity has been steadily declining for more than a decade, and some scientists are predicting that the internal fields of the sun may be too weak for the north and south poles to reverse in 2012-13. April 3, 2011 CME: http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1 & day=03 & month=04 & year=2011 June 14, 2011 CME: http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1 & day=15 & month=06 & year=2011 The news of CMEs is anticlimactic compared to the prediction that the sun’s north and south poles may not be able to reverse in 2012-13.
