LOL. That song exists in a Swedish version too (the Swedish lyrics written by Cornelis Vreeswijk). We sang it all the time in school (and of course on camps too). You can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vreZhL5p4V8The Swedish lyrics, in English translation, goes (and please forgive me for not making it rhyme in English... it does in Swedish though...):"Hello mum, hello dad, here's a letter from your favorite lad,We have fun here, in the summer camp, there's 28 gangsta kids in my cabin. That's sure a lot of beds. Can you send me more money?Because that would be a good deed, see I lost it all when I was gambling.Yes here's fun, that's for sure, but a little hard to sleep, see the guy in the bed above mine,he doesn't wake up when he needs to, no.I have lost two front teeth,'cause I was trying to walk on my hands, when we were playing charades, mum will go crazy when she sees me.In the woods there are bacterias, but my mate, he's got pills, that he has bought from a bad guy,and if you eat them they make you real funny.I'm not afraid of ghosts, and my mate, he's got booze,he's making it from potatoes, and selling cheep it in our cabin, really almost for free. Our head mistresshas gone missing, she drowned herself in the well, she lost her mind, this one morning, when we let a poisonous snake lose in thebreakfast hall. The head master, he has left now,he will never be the man he was, cause the police came and took good care of him, last week when we were playing forest fire.In the woods, there are deers, in the cabin, there are bugs, and my best mate, Tage,he's got a pocket knife in his stomach. He'll have surgery.I think that was all, hugs and kisses, and a heartfelt thank you, I must go now,we're on our way to arson the next door cabin."love/Reb >> I stayed but it was only a week camp. I love it too God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.
