Guest guest
The Wallow Fire (to the east of us) is 519,319 acres total and is now 58% contained! There should be more improvements over the next few days because I hear the high winds will subside for several days. The Willow Fire (to the west of us) is growing. The officials said the Willow is "wind driven" and is a crown fire. Crown fires mean the fire is jumping from treetop to treetop. can update on the Monument Fire where her son is living. Please pray for rain without lightening!hugsSharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
and family had to evacuate yesterday due to heavy smoke - he says their place is (so far) okay, and with luck they can go home tomorrow. Apparently today the wind blew the fire BACK into the canyons instead of out onto the grasslands, a big help to the firecrews. And definitely, prayers for rain without wind and lightning!! in WY Practical Blackwork Designs http://practicalblackwork.com http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
Their area is back on " pre-evac " today - in other words they can go home and clean up. says there's soot and ash all over everything, but nothing at their place really damaged... Guest guest
Thankfully his house is still there! The clean-up will be a pain though I'm sure. There are signs all over town here that say "Thank you Firefighters" or "Thank God for Firefighters".... and other signs of thanks. Today we had had slurry bombers flying over the house. They are so loud!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
