I talked on the phone with Pixie (my niece, 3 years old) yesterday, but before I talked to her I had talked to her mother, who had mentioned how Pixie had gotten her cvlothes and shoes soaking wet in the park by their house, twice in a row, that afternoon. So when I talked to Pixie I asked: " Did you get your clothes all wet and muddy today? " She said no, and I said: " But your mother told me you got your clothes and shoes wet in the park, and had to change, twice. "  

Pixie: Yes, but that wasn't me doing that, it was the puddle of water that did it...
