Guest guest
Hi Nick,I need to make a correction to my last email. My FT3/RT3 ratio is 19.5, not 15.Also, my ferritin level on 4/9/10 was 86 ng/ml (22-322).Please let me know what you think? I'm wondering if either my ferrritin is too low or with my ratio being so close to 20, that maybe I don't need to start T3/ Thanks for the hellp,Mike > >Does anyone know why this is happening. Guest guest
Hi Nick,My basal temp this morning is 98.6. I'm not sure how accurate this is though because I only slept about 2 hours last night. On 12/30/2009, here are my lab values to give you a reference: TSH: 2.27 ((.450 - 4.50) FT3: 3.2 (2.0 - 4.0) FT4: 1.28 (0.82 - 1.77)On 4/19/2010( I was on 15 mcg of cytomel when these were taken): FT4: 0.8 (0.8 - 1.8) FT3: 390 (230 - 420) RT3: 20 (11 - 32).Well, I took 5 mcg of cytomel yesterday after a 2 week hiatus and it made me feel very hypo. I took it in the morning and slept off and on until about 1 pm. After that, I felt very brain fogged and derealized/depersonalized. I also was a bit cranky yesterday. And, like I said, I didn't get any sleep last night at all. So at this point, I'm not sure what to do. Any advice you can offer me is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the input.Regards,Mike > >Please let me know what you think? Guest guest
> I am currently taking 40 mg of HC and I don't want >to increase it anymore for the T3 because I've already gained 20 pounds >since being on it and my face is very puffy and red. The symptoms of too much HC are very similar to not enough. It is possible you have overshot, if you lower the dose does your temperature become less stable?? I am wondering if your thyroid is OK looking at those labs and the issues are adrenal more than thyroid?
