Welcome to the group! Don't miss Moderator Nick's website:

http://thyroid-rt3.com/

It has answers to so many questions... " Do I have an RT3 problem? If yes, how do

I treat it? What if I'm already taking Armour? What is the recommended

procedure to switch to T3-only? How long does it take to clear RT3? " Just tons

of good info.

> Hi to all and thanks in advance for any help I can get here. I am 33 yrs post

TT. I am on Armour, 2 grains. Was on Synthroid for many years and last 7yrs

before Armour, on Unithroid. My FT4 was always high on T4 only meds, sometimes

over range. Don't know FT3 cause none done at that time. I had no insurance

until this year, so I was ordering all my bloodwork for last 5 yrs over the

internet.

> Last year I decided to do a Reverse T3 test because I have never felt good,

even on dessicated meds. My results from the 6/18/09 test are:

> FT3- 6.4, 2.3-4.2 range; T3 - 318, 90-350 range. I did take my 2 grains of

Armour 2 hours before the blood draw, which I never otherwise do.

> My normal FT3 results are consistently 3.1 or 3.9 without taking morning meds.

My FT4 results are always around 1.26.

> Now, doing the math for the results I got, I am at 20.1, just within the

normal range of 20 or above. Using my usual FT3 results, even taking the higher

3.9 result, my result is 12.26 (3.9x1000/318.)

> Should I retake the Reverse T3 test again, without taking my morning meds? My

ferritin levels are usually at least 90. All my other #'s are good. Just feel

like crap. My TSH is around 0.003. Lot's of people would kill for these #'s. I

feel mostly hypothyroid. Don't get it.
