Guest guest
Needing more of everything you take would tell me you have malabsorption problems. This happens when digestion si so bad that much of what goes in orally is juts passed straight on through wihtout the boidy ever even noticing. It is also common in severe adrenal fatigue. Ho bad were your cortisol labs, sorry I can;t remember... ? Hypothyroidism can also cause it to some extent as can Celiac from what I have read. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
I do nto feel the 6.2 blood labs were dangerous at all, but my SALIVA labs came back at 285 wiht top of range being 110. That is TISSUE levels which is definitely too high. Before the saliva labs I ahd decided to switch back anyway as my AM cortils which used ot be SO high before starting HC ios now normal. THIS was most liekly the cause of my high RT3 so I should not have the same problems wiht Armoru as I had before wiht it going to RT3. Woith normal AM cortisol I feel the T3 has done it;s job and tie to get back to a more natural thyroid replacement if I can. That high slaiva T3 was stressing my adrenals and not allowing themot heal. I STILL after 3 years on HC have hopes thta my adrenlas can heal and I can get off HC eventually, but time will only tell. Though I have normal temps, my energy is seriously lacking STILL. I still cannot lose weight, and I still battle horrible insulin resistance. I win the battl mostly as I take insulin but the doses I am taking have their own drawbacks. So if I can lower the insulin resistance by firther tweaking my hormones, I wil do it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
But Val, how can you know your morning cortisol is okay if you are still taking HC? I thought we couldn't count on saliva tests while on HC? Also, just trying to understand.....if your temps are normal and stable, how can you say the high t3 was beating your adrenals.? I thought if our temps were normal and stable, our adrenals were doing fine? I'm not trying to be nosey into your life, but I'm in the same boat. I thought I was optimized....normal and stable temps etc....but with a high serum ft3. I haven't saliva tested again tho. Also ...are serum tests of ft3 useless? I mean here we are thinking we're okay and then the saliva results tell a completely different story. It's all so confusing. Guest guest
I guess that I have more energy between 9 and 5. I usually start feeling more and more tired towards the end of the day and my GI stuff is invariably much worse in the evening and before bed than it is during the day. With as much HC as I am on, I don't think my problem is adrenalin, but I guess I'm only 5mg more than you are Rosie 35mg of HC and 1.25mg of prednisolone which is = to 5mg of HC. > > > > My saliva test was not terribly bad. Maybe 100 times > a day. Now it is only every few days that I experience the adrenalin > at all & it is much less intense. Oh, yeah. Okay, so that's what I've been having. Nowhere near as much these days, now that I'm on HC, but yes, that's what it was like. And still is, if I drink so much as a decaff tea. Thanks for helping me understand this. Guest guest
I no longer test anything but cortisol in saliva. Guest guest
>> I no longer test anything but cortisol in saliva. Ive heard from just too many credible sources that thyroid and sex hormones are not reliable with saliva tests<< I have heard from a very credable sour e WHY sex hormones once taking exogenous hormones are not accurate in saliva labs, HOWEVER I KNWO most doctors think thyroid is not accurate simply because they expect it to match blood levels. It does nto! It is not supposed to. What saliva levels show is what is getting into the tissues, this means whatever is able to actually work in our bodies beyond cortisol and RT3 blocking the receptors and proteins that bind it. Thsi si why you can ONLY test Free T3 in saliva not total, Total T3 is ONLY in the blood. Blood Free t3 is what is available to the cells, Saliva Free T3 is what has actually GOTTEN in the cells.
