About 80 here today, and I was whining about heat this afternoon! ;-)

We " did " Walmart, etc, yesterday, so today I haven't been moving very fast.

It's annoying because there are all these things I want to do, and no

" juice "

to do them!

The pool party sounds fun! I keep thinking we should get one of those

little pools for our German Shepherd/Malamute cross, since he likes playing

in water...

It's the Apostles' Fast, so tonight was some left-over potato soup and

tomato sammiches. Neither of us are much for eating salads, so hot-weather

fasts are not so nice- there are only so many peanut butter sammies a person

can stand! :-P

Otherwise, Himself is pecking away at his shiny new geee-tar (he found

that book, n!) and I'm trying to work up to some sewing, and pecking

away at some decluttering around here. Anybody got a use for 5 shower pans?

We inherited them from the old owner, and they're still out in the shed...

my little update for Thursday and dinner!

It was 97 here today.  My son and grandson are gone today and the girls

couldn't get the generator to start until 3 p.m.  No generator = no

cooling.  It's finally on and I am cooling off at last.  Whew!  The temp is

supposed to drop to 90 tomorrow and then back into the 80s.

My legs have been stiff so I haven't gone out to the poultry yard for

several days.  I really enjoy going out to hand feed the chickens and

ducks.  Some of them eat from my hand:)  I won't go out there if my legs are

working well.  I don't want another fall like I had out there last year.

When it's just the three granddaughters here with me we lead an easier life

as far as meals go.  For lunch two of us had salads.  The other two had ants

on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins).

This Saturday is the homeschool conference so the three older grandkids will

go to that with their parents.  The youngest from this house is , age

8.  She was upset that the older kids were going to the conference and she

was under age for it.  Oh, she could have gone but would be required to stay

with her parents instead of going to the art class and other kid

activities.  My daughter lives 5 miles away and her two daughters are in the

same situation.  The oldest can go to the conference but the youngest is

only 7.  So Maya is coming over here to gramma's house for a " pool party " .

The pool is just a small hard plastic pool but and Maya are so

excited!  I pulled out the hula skirts, goggles, beach balls and water

shooters.  They are planning on having pink lemonade and snacks.  Then Maya

and her older sister, Jenna, will spend 5 days here with me and the four

grands who live here full time.

Dinner?  My son should be back for dinner.  But I will start it.  We're

having chicken breasts, sauteed peppers, eggplant and salad.  That won't

require much time standing in the kitchen--thank goodness!

hugs to each of you

That's about the same temperature it was today here (near ST. Louis), but I still didn't go out.  Hubby had to be out this morning cleaning out the in-laws gutters on their garage, and other handyman things his dad wanted him to do.  When I got up this morning, I guess my MS is having fun with me again, because I felt like the " seizure threshold " was quite near, even though I've had no instances of missing anything.  So I stayed inside in case something happened.

For dinner we had a throw it in the oven banquet entree, as neither one of us felt good.  Tomorrow, hubby's mother is getting a bunion operated on.....yet crews are working on their roof - so hubby will be there again tomorrow at their house to supervise the roofing crew....and for some reason they are getting a metal roof.

I hope so too!  She does not like to be " down " for very long, and this will force her to be " down " for a good long time (she needs it, she's been fighting a lung infection for months). I'm just really stiff this morning.  Last night I would get periods when my trunk got really weak.  I delayed starting a new workout program because I got it when my relapse started, but now I can see that I really need to start SOMETHING.
