He truly sounded like a wonderful father and friend to many. After reading his obituary and the messages, I'm sure you'll have many wonderful memories to hold onto. The friend that wrote about him walking up and down the 'hill' made me smile a bit. He must have had an awesome and productive life gathering many friends through his adventures .... gentle hugs, Cait Re: about my dad He was VERY smart, and quite wise as well..Thank you for the prayers. Guest guest
Yes, I noticed he was from Atlanta! There are a lot of Irish in Georgia. is a beautiful name for your daughter and I'm sure it pleased your dad very much. It's hard losing a mom but there is something about the bond between father and daughter, isn't there? love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Sending condolences about your loss, Kate. Your Dad must have been a special man. As a product of the great depression, his success is a shining example for this generation, currently going through tough economic times. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
Yes, it's true. I think also the fact that they are both now gone, and I have no parent to turn to, really hit me hard. It is a blessing that he passed while unconscious. Also a blessing that he left the world still remembering us. With the Alzheimers, it was just a matter of time before he would stop recognizing us. love, Kate To: MSersLife Sent: Sun, June 26, 2011 10:42:30 PMSubject: Re: about my dad Yes, I noticed he was from Atlanta! Guest guest
You're so lucky with that, Kate. One of my grandmothers died in her sleep, in good health, to a sudden heart attack. My other grandmother died due to Alzheimer's, many years after she lost touch with reality. It was hard to see her like that. In the end, it was an attempt to get out of bed that killed her - she tried to get out of bed, broke her nose, and we believe had a subdural hematoma. Tina Yes, it's true.
