Guest guest
I'm about 20 miles north of St. Louis (Alton). Looks like a status hearing for his sentencing is going to be held on August 1, but he's still free on bond until then, which I think is ridiculous. And even worse is the taxpayers have to foot the bill for his defense! Tina I suppose they will take forever to sentence him. I am sick of it already. If you play you pay! Where in IL are you? Guest guest
I saw that on the news. He looked pretty surprised, didn't he? Guest guest
He actually said he was " shocked " that the jury found him guilty. I guess because it was a hung jury last time. But the prosecutor didn't prosecute his brother along with him this time (they reached a deal with him), and the reduced the counts and made it easier to understand. After the verdict was read, the jury members said they liked him (almost everyone does once he starts talking) they just didn't believe him. A local - well I can't remember what he is - said Blagojevich's defense sounded like a kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar and he was trying to say he was counting the cookies instead of trying to eat them.
