Guest guest
I started with that about 20yrs ago, my head would be sore for no reason on the lft side, could not touch it without getting anxiety as I thought anerysm. Dr. checked blamed it on coming from tightened muscles in neck/ shoulders as always tense from pain. It lasted so long one time I went into ER and didn't care I had no insurance I wanted to rule out anerysm, CT scan ok.I stll get it, but over the yrs I have had it increase some days just like you explain wake up and whole head is so sore hurts to touch! Like I have had my hair pulled back in a ponytail with a tight tight elastic for alot of days and now have taken it out. Probably is fibro but don't know what have just excepted it, I have heavy hair though to not real long but thick and may be it but my neck is killing me right now every inch of my neck is tight and hurts and I think this can bring it on also. Hope it goes away some for you it should though most likely will come back. Take Care Sharone Sherry wrote: I have had this for a long time. Over a year ago (maybe 2) I had spoke to my doctor about this, she had said it was a part of Fibro. My head is so very soar, can't even put my hands throug my hair.Hard to describe, but almost feels like I have been hit over the head with no bump. Has anyone experienced any thing like this. I can not go see doc. No Money No Medical Insurance. Sherry in Arkansas
Guest guest
Sharon: Ok, I thought this was just me - I hate to say it but glad I'm not crazy. I've started using ice packs. The really big ones that literally wrap around your head like a turban. If I make sure it have the cold part right at the base of my head, where the blood supply comes up your spinal column - it cools the blood circulating in my head (I know this sounds wierd, but trust me) enough to make the pain go away. Its the dangdest thing.... I've found that it seems to be tied to my menstral cycle. The closer I get to my period, the worse the pain is - then within 24 hours after my period starts, pain is gone until the next cycle. You might keep a diary of the pain in relation to your cycle.
