Hi everyone,

I would like to know if I can take my HC and T3 together, currently on 25mcg t3

split 4 times a day (just started unable to increase due to delay in mail

delivery of t3)and 25 mg HC also split 4 times a day 10,7.5,5,2.5. Also after

increasing T3 should I start to decrease HC based on symptoms. Also taking blue

bonnet iron supp and k-dur slow release. Thank You for your input.

Yes, you can take HC and T3 at the same time. The thing you have to avoid

taking near T3 is your iron supplements; and if you take the T3 sublingually you

don't even have to worry about that. Here's Moderator Nick's web page about

interactions:

http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/interact.htm

When/if to decrease the HC is more complex, and varies from person to person.

Val found that after clearing her RT3 she was able to decrease HC (in fact, if I

remember correctly, she was gradually, over time, able to discontinue HC

completely). I, on the other hand, need just as much HC as ever.

Hope this helps.
