1) in blender, put one package of most any frozen fruit--I love mangos;2) add about 1-2 cups of non-fat, unsweetened yogurt;3) add non-fat milk if needed to soften the mixture.May be made with any frozen fruit; any flavoring may be added;if it appears to need sweeting, I recommend Sucralose or Splenda, the kind in the bag, though the little envelopes are great for tea or coffee. If the frozen fruit is too hard and chunky, one can add warm water andsome dry milk instead lf cold milk as one blends it.I love just mucking about and playing in the kitchen; I make whole-grain bread, too, even flatbread!Love to you, Akiba, and to Robbin, and to everyone here with us,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 6, 2011 3:03:17 PMSubject: Re: Dinner?/sounds good to me

Well that would certainly be awesome! Since I only get to town a few times during the month I don't have near as many salads as I would like...got to have fresh stuff for it and when I get it, it is gone in a day or two, which leaves a week or more before the next time I can get some...(hate that, but at least I CAN get it from time to time)

-- Dinner?

Well, tonight is fish stix (well they're actually bigger then the stix, and made from whole fish not "fish spam") and roast yam. I have two yams, they are HUGE, the bigger one is massive. I will roast them in the oven, and prepare them like a baked tater (split and a little salt and a little butter) The salt I use is Himalayan and still has all of it's minerals, I have had friends call me a "salt snob", because MOST "salt" sold here, like oh what's it called, blue container with the little girl...well, that is NOT salt, it is aluminum, which is linked to Alzheimer's, and I won't go NEAR it unless I am de-icing the driveway!

Anyway, that said...

So that's tonight, tomorrow will do cheese ravioli with pasta sauce, baked, and Mother's Day Robbin will make rice and garlic shrimp (just garlic and some butter, melted, and the shrimp tossed in till they are done). That's his "gift" to me. My "gift" to me will be overseeing him making dinner

A blender? What's that?

I love mangos too

Sucralose or splenda? I thought artificial sweeteners were a big no-no for MS'ers?

I think Splenda is okay.. not

sure what Sucralose is though... It's the stuff with aspartame

in it that will worsens our numbness & tingling stuff from

what I've been told.

I'm pretty sure if I use Sweet 'n Low, my feet get really wicked

numb.. but then anything with MSG in it will set my feet really

really wild!

were there

to do the salad, and even a

sugar-free dessert!

Love to you both,

So behind in emails...you make your own bread/flatbread? I am in awe of you, n! that is a labor-intensive project. Do you have a bread maker, or just do it, the 'old fashioned way'? Either way, I'm impressed. Your fruit smoothie sounds wonderful! We adore mangoes here as well!Love to you,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 6, 2011 6:23:33 PMSubject: Re: Dinner?/sounds good to me/ snack suggestion
