It’s not just people in scooters. Today we were in Wal-Mart with my sister and niece’s and my youngest niece asked for two ladies to please excuse out the way and they made a statement that parents should be made to teach kids proper English. My niece is autistic and non-verbal. After 10 years of speech therapy she has a working vocabulary of 200 words. We said to the ladies that we were proud that she used her words and they said that was no excuse! EXCUSE ME???? She was asking you to move aside instead of just pushing you out the way like she usually would do. She was polite and asked you to move aside instead of blocking the whole aisle. When we told the ladies that she was autistic they said that was no excuse for not talking properly, when we explained that she was also nonverbal they said “well should be on a leash instead of being allowed around people†well as you can imagine we had to get my sister out there before someone needed an ambulance. Some people just don’t get it.

Guest guest
Lucky for us was more upset that mummy was mad than what the ladies said. Unfortunately we seem to run into this problem more and more with adults. Lucky for us however, , in school is very popular and everyone is her friend. She is outside the normal autistic model. She interacts with others. Next year she starts high school and we hope the positive experience with her school peers continues. She is great to let other kids know what it is like to be different and to accept it.  Just wish adults can take those lessons in school again. Guest guest
, I am so sorry (and ashamed for those women as well) that you and your sister & nieces had to endure such blatant ignorance. And had I been your sister, you wouldn't have been able to get me out of there before someone needed an ambulance.. I'd have run over them, backward and forward more than several times with my scooter.. might have even needed to tarp the bodies & call the coroner... because I'm sure that when I had finished all that could be recovered of them were eyeballs & lips..Can anyone say.. "Clean up on aisle 10?".. I wouldn't have had your calm either, I'd have let my sister have at them.. and would have tasered any security that came to break it up as well. tons and tons of HUGS for you and your sister & nieces |)onna It’s not just people in scooters.

Guest guest
That reminds me of the national news that was here covering our huge Rodeo Chediski forest fire in 2002.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodeo-Chediski_fireThe locals had great fun giving the wrong pronunctions of our local towns/areas to the news folks. We still laugh and call some of the towns by those goofy names they came up with. We have some unusual town names here anyway.... but they way they pronounced them was hilarious. You might as well have a little fun, huh Anne? lol SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
