I would not have been able to control my mouth at that point. You all did a good job at controlling yours. Even when my son is with me I have a hard time! I have gotten to the point where I just hate shopping. It’s not just people in scooters. Today we were in Wal-Mart with my sister and niece’s and my youngest niece asked for two ladies to please excuse out the way and they made a statement that parents should be made to teach kids proper English. My niece is autistic and non-verbal. After 10 years of speech therapy she has a working vocabulary of 200 words. We said to the ladies that we were proud that she used her words and they said that was no excuse! EXCUSE ME???? She was asking you to move aside instead of just pushing you out the way like she usually would do. She was polite and asked you to move aside instead of blocking the whole aisle. When we told the ladies that she was autistic they said that was no excuse for not talking properly, when we explained that she was also nonverbal they said “well should be on a leash instead of being allowed around people†well as you can imagine we had to get my sister out there before someone needed an ambulance. Some people just don’t get it.
