Supplements Effectiveness when Combined

I have been meaning to ask this question for quite a while...Long ago when I

became interested in supplementing I was told not to take certain supps in

combination with each other as it would negate the effects...ie., calcium with

iron...and magnesium should be 2 to 1 with calcium etc...

I haven't found much support of this in AI or any discussion of such on these

boards...so I am asking for anyone's knowledge in this area...I realized these

beliefs are hindering the amounts of supps I get in each day because I just have

too many " rules " I am trying to follow.....

I take Iodoral, 25mg DHEA, K2 and magnesium-calcium 2:1 ratio in the morning

with a protein shake and 1 TBS of Flax Oil

3x a day (preferably with meals) I take a Zinc/ Sodium Ascorbate (vit C) blend

which also contains Molybdenum and Milk Thistle Extract

At night I try to take more magnesium alone and right before bed ...dessicated

liver

Of course this would be a " perfect day " when I don't miss anything, but how

does this sound? Any red flags? Anything seriously lacking??? Should I alter

this in any way while chelating???

I appreciate the feedback.

I share her concerns. For example, with Selenium & Vitamin C, it's my

understanding that one undermines the other when taken together.

I know a little. I have read that Selenium needs to be combined with

E. Chromium works well with B3. I take Cal/Mag/Zinc and D together.

Potassium also works well with Magnesium. I take Vit C separate

because I have read that it can interfere with other supplements.I

found a nice mineral source chart on the internet..
