Guest guest
Speaking of non-digital oral thermos, does it matter how long one leaves it in? I have found that with especially the mercury-substitute ones that I think contain alcohol, that 3 - 5 minutes usually isn't long enough so I'll leave it in there for a good long time, sometimes forgetting about it for over 10 minutes while I type an e-mail (like I am doing right now). Does it matter? Does it give a false higher reading by doing so? > > I know it is very hard to find the old-fashioned, oral mercury > thermometers. Guest guest
With my 37 yr old mercury thermo (I brought it home from the hospital when my daughter was born) it takes 3,1/2-4 min.
