Guest guest
You should wait until your average temperature for the day is stable before increasing your thryoid medicine. Do you have lab work for your cortisol levels? If you aer adrenal fatigued you definatley need to wait to get your HC at a stable dose before adding more thyroid. The temp you are taking in the morning beforeyou get out of bed is your basal temp and is more linked to your thyroid. You need to take your temp three times each day and average it to correlate with adrenal. For my schedule, I take it at 3, 6, and 9. It is explained pretty well at this link: http://www.drrind.com/tempgraph.asp#directions Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
Hi, I have recieved the okay form my doc. to begin ramp up on Cortisol SR. She started me on 1.25 mg of Cortisol SR, which I had been on once a day and then twice a day. I am now on day 4 and taking 1.25 mg in morning and 4 hours apart for a total of 4 times a day. I will do this for three days and then begin 2.5 mg. When I started the Cortisol I was on 25 mcg of compounded T3. Before taking Cortisol I was unable to move up in dose without having problems breathing and feeling tigh in my chest. Today, I took 30 mcg of T3 and I am on 5 mg of Cortisol total. I am wondering if this is too soon to start uping my T3? Tonight I feel brain fog, unable to concentrate and remember. My doctor is willing let me ramp my Cortisol up to 15 mg, but doesn't want to go beyond this because she finds patients end up on it for years and the risks of osteoparosis. I am working with the Holtorf Medical Group. I feel they are epxerienced and open minded in this area, but would appreciate any help you could give me on this. Is it normal to feel brain fog while ramping up? Does this mean I need to add T3 because I am not getting enough? Also, I am using a thermometer without mercury in it and my temps have been around 96.8 to 97.8 in the morning after 10 minutes. How long do I need to leave under the armpit? Also, do I need to take my temp. throughout the day? This is hard to do with my work schedule. Thanks
