Guest guest
Esther, I can only respond to my own situation. I had D and vomiting for several months, and I couldn't correlate any of it with eating anything. It could happen right after a meal, but sometimes it wouldn't. There was not an "in/out" reaction (as soon as i put it in my mouth it wanted to come out somehow). I could go all week without any problems, and I basically have the same type of diet everyday. It seems that the vomiting would only hit on the weekends (good or bad -- I didn't have to miss work, but it messed up my whole weekend). Bottom line is that it depends on whether going GF makes you feel better as a whole and if it solves the problems. Whether or not you have an actual diagnosis to me is irrelevant if eating this way makes you feel better. I was finally diagnosed and was so shocked that it was something I was eatting making me sick (I thought I would need surgery to remove my gallbladder or something). Good luck to you and your family!Sonja Sneak preview the all-new Yahoo.com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
Guest guest
I guess what I meant was that they were growing steadily. Sorry, I meant no offense! Re: my third kid.... little paranoid at times that my kids have Celiac. Luckily we have a great pediatrician who tolerates me My kids are 2 and 4 right now, show no symptoms, and are growing appropriately so at this years physicals we opted not to test them (================ please do not use "growing normally" as a criterion. My twins have always been off the charts for height and both have CD. Shez
Guest guest
Sounds similar to my Son, Esther. Extreme colic.....I swear there were days I considered putting him out on the sidewalk with a “FREE” sign around his neck! Occasional vomiting, usually after lunch.....not accompanied by fever or illness. Cleared up after going GF. BM’s 6-8 times a day....I didn’t consider them D because they weren’t “loose”. He never had stomach cramps until after going GF....but had general lethargy. How old is your child? My son is 7 and starting to loose his baby teeth. The permanent teeth that have erupted so far (2 and ¼) seem to have the enamel problems that have been described by some members of this group. If it were me, I’d definitely have him/her tested.
