Hi ,

We never know when/if Andy will read posts and answer.

Yes, 30 mg is way too high for many people to start with. If you look

in the files section for TKs general chelation suggestions, he

suggests starting at doses of 12.5 mg. Some people have to go even

lower to 5 mg per dose or less.

>>I've already lowered the dose to 15 mg.

It isn't clear to me if you got the extreme symptoms when using doses

of 15 mg ALA. If so, the dose is still way too high and you would

have to consider doses of 5 mg or so.

I assumed that you had already stopped the ALA because of the side

effects that you were getting???

Stop the ALA and try several rounds with DMSA alone before attempting

ALA again. (When you do add ALA try a dose of about 5 mg first).

For DMSA you could try doses of 12.5 mg or even less.

Let us know if you are having any reaction.

The basic chelation supplements are on pages 133-134 of Amalgam

Illness. It is important to take as many antioxidants as you can

(because mercury causes oxidative stress) - emphasis on vitamin C, vit

E,; minerals are in short supply and used up during chelation - Mg,

Zn, Mo; the liver needs support - B vitamins, milk thistle;

essential fats are needed for healing - fish and/or flax oil.

Chelation will be rough without the basics.

(The head aches, muscle pain and stiffness can be partly from low Mg.

Soaking in epsom salt baths is also recommended.)

Let us know if you find a doctor who wants to be helpful. He could

help by prescribing DMPS (you would have to use it in tiny dose).

Good luck
