This means mineral transport is deranged and he has a mercury problem. Na/K is low, suggesting hyperthyroid. The other thyroid ratio K/Ca is not out of range, but is at the low end. Serum thyroid testing will give you more information. Free T3, Free T4, TSH should be done. Make sure to ask for the frees. Most docs will not do them without your insistence. Although his test does not meet the adrenal sign, he may have adrenal problems. I would try some adrenal cortex extract, especially if you give thyroid hormone. Na/Mg is low, similar to your test. Tyrosine or phenylalanine can be helpful, but can be stimulating for some kids, so you need to start with a small amount and see how he does. Also consider TMG, folic acid, B6, and B12. Red high magnesium usually means wasting. I suggest epsom salt baths and/or supplementation of magnesium and taurine. > 1) 6 y/o male with symptoms of ADHD, chronic parasite infections The chronic parasite infection can be due to poor adrenal function, as can the poor blood sugar regulation indicated by low Ca/Mg. > 2) He has never had any fillings but I had 10 fillings when pregnant with him and he has had the usual vaccinations for his age Instead of vaccinating, I suggest looking into natural anti-virals for treatment and prevention of viral infections. > 3) Haven't started chelating him yet > 4) Supplement with children's multi-vitamin He will need more supplements than that if you are going to chelate. The supplement file on the autism-mercury group lists appropriate supplements and dosing for chelating children. You will find many parents chelating their kids on that group. I suggest you join for more input and information about chelating your son. The issues that come up during chelation are somewhat different for children, and you can learn a lot from the parents there. -- > 5) My/his mom's test is 91 > > Thank you so very much, >
