Guest guest
I'm not sure as you just dropped the NTH and I don't know how long it takes the t4 to wear off and then the t3 you're taking might only be making up for the loss of that t4... I would ask Val tomorrow when she returns! It's over my head for sure. :-) Maybe Nick will know?? Kathleen > > Should I follow the instructions to increase T3 per the RT3 site or because my ratio is only slightly off do I stay the course with 25 mcg T3 and NTH? > > My RT3 ratio was 18% when we calculated it in mid-April and Val suggested that I drop my NTH to 3.5 grains down from 4 grains and add 25 mcg T3. I've been on this dosing for 8 days. (I started it earlier, but ran out of T3 and had to restart my efforts). I'm sleeping great with 10 mcg T3 and 5 mg HC as I lay my head down. I wake up ok, but sometimes a little drowsy still and if I'm not drowsy first thing, then I usually get drowsy within 2-4 hours after waking. Otherwise, my mood is good, my energy is good, and I am feeling generally well. My temperatures are stable between 98 and 98.2, but my weight isn't budging. > > Please advise, whether to raise T3 or hold the course. > > Thank you! > Peaches_II >

Sounds like you are still a bit hypo with those temperatures but on the right track. I suggest leaving the natural dose where it is and seeing what happens if you add an extra 12.5 of T3. If it's too much you can back off again Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
I am on the following schedule. Where would I add an additional 12.5 mcg of T3? (I am finishing 20mcg Cytomel and now have my 25 mg Cynomel, so can do either 5 or 6.25 mcg doses) 5:00 AM 2 Grains NTH 9:00 AM 10 mcg T3 1:00 PM 1.5 NTH 5:00 PM 5 mcg T3 9:00 PM 10 mc T3 (bedtime) > > >I wake up ok, but sometimes a little drowsy still and if I'm not drowsy first thing, then I usually get drowsy within 2-4 hours after waking.
