How long hav yo been on this > dosing regimen? What did your labs look like ot begin with? > Sorry. I would have posted a graph for those daily ones, as they looked sooo much nicer before period hit, when the individual temps started really spreading out (which didn't really show in the averages). And, yeah, I figure the slow decline is because of no thyroid support, as after a couple weeks free of most of the hypo symptoms (which I'm sure the iron did contribute to, as at first I was going hyperish right after taking the iron), they're very much back. And right now I'm panicking/worrying about trying to get a doctor just for the thyroid. I even think about it and I start crying and suddenly it's an hour later--and it's always right in that 2-3 hour mark, when the HC's wearing off. Like now...gah. No more editing of this (so if I leave something out, sorry, my brain's addled). I've been at 32.5 mg HC (at that 10, 7.5, 7.5, 5, 2.5 every 3 hours w/o a bedtime dose) for about 4 weeks, minus the times I've stressed dosed (to 45 mg). I had planned to go to 35 mg, but wasn't sure where to put the extra...and I also didn't want to mess with the dosing right before period, so I'd have some idea of what I'll need to do next time. This is mostly memory, but I think everything is right: Thyroid labs were....ugly, especially FT3: TSH 51 (26-86) FT4 0.19 (0.17 - 0.42) FT3 0.20 (0.28 - 1.10) I panicked for the adrenal test (ALL DAY), and actually woke up that day just fine (first time for months at the time--haven't since), and felt better later in the day than usual, so I'm assuming it was all skewed high, so that's not too useful other than to see that my adrenals can't make cortisol all day, even when told to make gads of it: morn 39 (13-24) noon 6 (5-10) evng 4 (3-8) midn 3 (1-4) Licorice root didn't help. I got a higher initial temp spike from the first 2.5 mg HC than the licorice, too, so the 'real' values are probably much worse. My sodium was 133 (135-148), and sea salt doesn't seem to do a thing. Anything else important? Oh, need to supplement both iron and B12, the first of which is at least partially responsible for the increase in temps, and the second caused adrenal symptoms at first (pain/temp drop/shakiness within minutes), but I've been trying to ease it in since the hypo sympotoms have been returning, which hasn't been as bad. Guest guest
I am willing to bet if you add Florinef to this mix and lower HC you wil feel alot better. Is your BP in the dirt as well? That sodium is VERY low and I am surprised oyu are functional at all wiht that. Muscle spasms? ALL would be low sodum. Florinef may help your fele better supported when it si this low with the cortisol as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
