Guest guest
Night time dosing of T3 will not keep you awake unless it is an adrenal reaction. I split miine evenly through the day taking 25-50mcg at every dose including bedtime. In a healthy person T3 peaks at midnight. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thanks Val and Lynda, I am so thankful for the folks on this board! Also doing the happy dance because I saw a good doc this morning! A huge answer to prayer! I'll tie the dosing to my HC dosing then. I'm assuming sublingual is the way to go so I don't interfere with my iron supps, which I have to spread throughout the day in order to tolerate them. Guest guest
Wow, I would really appreciate if anyone could point me to more info on this. I had no idea my instructions were so far off. My doc told me to take 2 5mcg tablets in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. I was switched temporarily to T3 only because I was previously on SRT3 + synthroid and the doc had me go up on the SRT3 without changing my Synthroid dose, and I got major hyper symptoms and my RT3 went through the roof. I am switching to a new doc, however it's another 5 weeks til my appointment. Should my dose be divided up into more intervals in the meantime? I am still hypo but can't go up any further without getting hyper symptoms. I think I have an adrenal issue but haven't gotten the test yet (can't pay at the moment) Thanks to the original poster of this thread! > > I take mine every 3 hours including a dose at bedtime > Lynda > > Times for dividing up doses of cytomel? > > > > What is the best way to divide up cytomel? Guest guest
I would try more intervals, like 4, during the day because it is less stress on the adrenals.
