Guest guest
Hello there! My husband was diagnosed with PSC 2yrs ago this month and when 1st diagnosed, this group was so helpful with the many questions I had. I have continued to check in daily with this group and continue to keep everyone in my prayers. My husband has been doing pretty good but now I face a new challenge - my father. Last Wednesday my dad turned bright yellow. He has no liver issues we know of so after running some tests, they thought he had a gallstone in his bile duct (gallbladder removed 3yrs ago) and performed an ERCP yesterday. Well, to our surprise this was no stone, rather a complete stricture in his common bile duct, outside the liver. There are concerns this could be caused from a tumor of some sort and did a brushing of the bile duct, plus ran some additional bloodwork. We are waiting for the results and then moving to step 2. The procedure took over 2hrs and while it was very complicated, the Dr. was able to place a stent in the bile duct and open it up for my dad. I am just asking if you could please keep my father in your prayers. It is so strange to me that we are dealing with PSC with my husband and now my father, who has no history of liver problems, no crohn's or UC and is facing alot of the same things I am so familiar with because of my hubby. Guest guest
Please consider your father added to my prayer list...I pray for everyone in this group every day, along with all of the " forgotten heroes " --those courageous caregivers, other family members, etc. without whom patients like me wouldn't stand a chance!
