Guest guest
Hi Gang Just a note of encouragement! I am trying something new, posting a message from my e-mail instead of the website or by reply. It is a good thing to feel good enough to try to learn something new, and even better if it actually works, so we will see when this comes thru. I am on digest so it will be a while before I get to see this post, and I am not going to waist precious time by going to the website to see if it goes thru! Does that sound odd? Yes I am starting out to have a good day. Just a bit of a stiff neck, I can live with that. Just a bit of discomfort in the back, I can live with that too. The sun is shining out side, the snow is melting and it looks more and more as if we are going to have an early spring breakup season here on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. I have so many projects that actually do give me joy to do, but I cannot decide if I want to do the outdoor projects, or some of the indoor ones. I know that they will all make me tired and sore, but the happy in the heart will make it worth while. Some of the projects include tidying up the greenhouse and getting the seedbeds ready, also have a new heater to get put together for the greenhouse I WILL HAVE TOMATOES THIS YEAR!!! Cleaning up the shed that houses the 4-wheeler, empty out the 4 wheeler trailer so that I can use it in spring cleaning of the yard. Start to get the old wood shed ready to take down so that I can move it, have to stake out and clean up a different part of the yard for the new shed. (too close to the house for the insurance to be happy with it!) We ahve mostly wood fireplace heat in the winter, so that is a big deal for us. It is too early to do much outdoors, but I can get started , and I am just itchy for spring cleaning! Indoors I am working on finishing part of my cieling, but I need my hubby to help with that, it will look good with nice wood panneling instead of the floor joists that hold up the loft floor. In my loft room I need to tidy up what has become a sewing room and storeage of all the camping gear. I am finishing a wall that we just put a window in, and I want to put in shelves to organize my quilting stuff. I am planning to build a nice sewing machine cabinet that will be home to my new quilting machine and also have a fold out sort of spot for the serger. My old Singer has her old cabinet and that will stay. I inherited that machine from my first mother in law. We were closer than 2 peoplle could have been, she wanted to adopt me and get rid of her no good son!!!! It was all I got when she died, her rings and mink coat went to my husband's girlfriend (yes you heard right) & the Dad in Law and his no good son sold the rings and went to Las Vegas!!! That was many years ago and I am still agravated about it! O well, I have a good hubby now, and My dear MIL's spirit and love are still with me in the sewing machine. As you can see, I love my sewing room! But I also love the greenhouse and the weather is getting warmer as I type! And by the way, I really am having a good day! I can type today! I will let you know how the day goes, O by the way, I am also getting my bowles ready for my first colonoscopy scheduled for early Monday morning, so no dinner tonight, just liquid today and that gunk tonight! Whis me luck! Love and gentle hugs, Connie Connie, Congrates on feeling so good today; It is nice to have good dayys to appreciate for sure. Guest guest
Wow what a day, the back hurts pretty good, got a nice headache going on too, typing is not so good. But I got all sorts of seed trays ready to plant, got some tidying done in the greenhouse, it will be ready soon. Got my sewing room cleaned out and drew up a nice plan for a couple of pieces of furnature that I hope to build on another good day in the future, finished up some laundry, and I am just about done with that horrid gallon of gunk a person is supposed to drink to get ready for a colonoscopy! I am so hungry I could eat just about anything, but I can't have anything until after that procedure in the morning. Best part of the day, my daughter and her family came over today, spent nearly the entire day with the 2 little granddaughters! Now how cool is that! My son in law helped me get part of my broken porch roof down, I will have to get help rebuilding that in the summer since the ice on the roof tore it off earlier this month. My daughter made her famous lazagna and we invited my parents over for a feast. I tried a new cake recipe that I thought would be great, and it went over like a lead balloon! Peanut butter and chocolate bunt cake. Some of the family liked it and some tried to feed it to the dog (who burried her piece under the couch!) Of course I could not have anything, but mine is in the frig for tomorrow! The kids played all over the place and finally got to take a " swim " in Gramma's whirlpool tub! We watched videos of the girls' gymnastics and ballet recitals. It was just the best sort of day, and not hardly any pain! Last time I tried to do stuff all day I nearly had to go to the hospital! Well, I guess I will be in the hospital in the morning, but that is a good thing too! Love to all Connie
Guest guest
Sounds like you are enjoying the day, or at least your plans for the day. I myself always have big plans. Sometimes I get-um done, sometimes not. But when the sun is out..it always makes me want to get busy. And that colonoscopy....I had one a few years ago, along with the one that goes down your throat, anyway, never felt a thing afterwards. BUT.....I could not stand the stuff they made me drink....I wanted and came very close to throwing up. In fact I did not finish the magic potion drink, it was just too much. ANYWAY! Glad to hear you have Great Plans and your spirit is high!
