To Kathy , Tiffinay Crumbliss and All Our PSC Friends:

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Joe is so very missed by us all! Joe fought a valiant war, but in the end PSC and CC won. Damn them! This reply is so late in coming as I have been in Austin, TX for several months in a hotel room that had unreliable internet connections. I thank you all for your notes of sympathy and condolences.Tonight my husband, Bob and I returned home to Midland, TX with the bronze urn containing our son Joe's ashes. The urn has an eagle flying free above the mountains.

We were faced with the beautiful pictures all about the house of Joe and his younger brother, Tom (age 30), at different ages and different stages of their happy, smiling, loving little lives, I felt a sorrow more gripping than I can express. I wanted to stare at their pictures, yet at the same time I wanted to take them down and put them away. But since I have not got any energy left from crying all the time, the pictures will stay up for now.Joe was well known and loved by those who knew him. I believe some of his friends are planning to prepare a benefit for PSC Partners in the future in Austin, Texas.Thank all of you for your support in the past year. I appreciate and empathize with every one of you. Keep up the good work. Let's keep working for a cure!Mother of Joe, UC 1987, JPouch 1999, PSC 03/2006, Acute Pancreatitis 03/06, CC 12/06, Failed Chemotherapy 1/07, Deceased age 33 03/26/07

Bless you and your family Chris. Time and the love of family and friends will help you now.It will get better, but you need this grieving time. Let it happen. Soon the pictures will be good memories rather than a reminder of grief.Let it happen.Joe's friends will help you grieve and turn grief into positive action when they have the benefit. In Joe's memory , you will do good, you will help others and thereby help yourself.Just let it happen in it's own time and you will heal as a family. We all care here and will help anyway we can.Together in grief, together in the fight, whatever it takes.I send my love and caring to you and your family at this time,LeeTo Kathy , Tiffinay Crumbliss and All Our PSC Friends:Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  Joe is so very missed by us all!  Joe fought a valiant war, but in the end PSC and CC won.  Damn them! This reply is so late in coming as I have been in Austin, TX  for several months in a hotel room that had unreliable internet connections.  I thank you all for your notes of sympathy and condolences.

Dear

Joe's loss is felt by all of us, even though we never had the chance to meet him. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions with us as you try to make some sense of this tragedy. I was very touched to hear from his friend Dawn about the benefit that Joe's friends are planning in his memory. Joe must have been a very special guy. My thoughts are with you, and I wish you some peace in the future. Please know that we will all continue the fight!!!
