Guest guest
Hi all, I have a slightly elevated CA-19-9, which has been going up since last year. I see the doctor again in a week, and will see if the CA-19-9 is still elevated. If it is, should I insist that the doctor go on fishing expedition to see if cancer can be found? I've already had melanoma, and almost had colon cancer, not to mention there is a lot of different cancers in my family. I've always taken an assertive approach to cancer to find it at the earliest possible time. However, after reading the articles that Barb posted, it sounds as though CC can't be caught early. Would it be a waste of time to actively look for CC? If I should have the doctor look for CC, which tests should be done? ERCP? MRI? Ultrasound? CT scan? Thanks for any help or advice. -Marie _________________________________________________________________ The average US Credit Score is 675.
