Guest guest
Were you taking hydrocortisone or adrenal supplments before you did this lab? Also, where did you get it done? ZRT or somewhere else? If these are accurate, it seems you might have signs of Cushings. I would repost in the adrenal forum when it opens. Guest guest
If you had your saliva test done by Diagnostechs you may want to redo it at a more reliable lab. They are known for false high results. If you post to the adrenal board, they will suggest www.canaryclub.com Heidi > > Need help with my cortisol results, please tell me what I need to do: > > 6am-8am- 24 range 13-24 > 11-12noon - 16 range 5-10 > 4:00 -5pm- 15 range 3-8 > 10-mid - 15 range 1-4 > > Feeling very dizzy when lifting my head of pillow, disoriented, weak, muscle aches, you name it I have it. Guest guest
No I am not taking anything as I don't know what to do. I thought might guide me. Yes, fatigue is very bad, dizzy/vertigo, joint pain, extreme anxiety, brain fog, muscle pain, blurry and distorted vision.Sent from my iPad Your cortisol is very high. Are you taking anything for it? HC or Isocort? Are you supplementing salt at all? I felt HORRIBLE before I started supplementing salt. Anyother symptoms? Guest guest
I was on adrenal supplements but stopped about a month prior to testing. I think the lab was diagnostics something. I don't look like I have cushiness, and or the symptoms of cushiness.Sent from my iPad Were you taking hydrocortisone or adrenal supplments before you did this lab? Also, where did you get it done? Guest guest
Val will be back with both groups tomorrow. If those tests are accurate they sure aren't right. I don't know enough about high cortisol to be able to advise Kitty To: "RT3_T3 " <RT3_T3 >Sent: Sat, May 15, 2010 8:22:20 PMSubject: Re: I need help, not feeling well! Guest guest
Have you been to a doctor? I think adrenal tumors can cause high cortisol but leave you 'looking' normal. After a couple of weeks then start T3 and ramp up slowly, hopefully the ferritin will build as the T3 levels increase so you can tolerate enough to be useful Cortisol will stay high to start with but MAY reduce as the T3 levels increase, the Adrenal group will give you a better indication of the chances of that If you are having trouble sleeping then try some Melatonin, maybe 3mg at bed time Check with the adrenal group how they feel about the chances of your levels reducing. The RT3 will be blocking receptors and will take 12 weeks to clear.
