Guest guest
Wrong or inappropriate response, eh? I am the queen of that! lol Did I ever tell you about the time my mother-in-law fell and broke her nose? I laughed like a hyena, big huge laughter and teary eyes for at least a half hour. I was laughing while her daughter shot me evil looks and her mom was bleeding all over the floor. I was not anyone's favorite any longer, let me tell ya:)And, no, Challis still doesn't have a sense of humor about the cat spraying her new permed hair. lolhugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. HUGS |)onna Thank you SO much for your sympathy and empathy;) I know one that was even worse. My daughter, Challis, had her hair cut and got a perm when she was 12. Immediately she hated her hair and cried and cried. I assured her the new "do" was very pretty. When we got home she threw herself down on the couch, fretting in misery. One of the cats got up on the back of the couch, sniffed the new perm and sprayed it! You talk about dealing with a miserable, distraught child... it was awful. And all I could do was laugh! Guest guest
I can't say that I remember you ever mentioning the MIL having an accident of that proportion. Nor you turning to the "dark side" when it occurred either. Though I can't say that I was ever to anybody's liking on the in-law side of the family, so wouldn't know what it was like to fall from grace. I'm also not so sure that I wouldn't still feel like Challis with the perm incident either.. That one might be particularly difficult to get past. Scarred the poor child for life, I'm afraid. Does she still get perms on occasion? If she does, I think I'd have to be watching her, just to see if she looked over her shoulder when sitting down following a perm. But then I am that horrific mother, who sat poor Earl on top of the stereo speakers when he was a baby (or so he tells everyone)... and no, it wasn't directly on top of them.. they were in the same room, and not the whole way across the room from his bassinet.. but I did NOT sit him on top of them.... <evil grin> HUGS |)onna Wrong or inappropriate response, eh? I am the queen of that! lol Did I ever tell you about the time my mother-in-law fell and broke her nose? I laughed like a hyena, big huge laughter and teary eyes for at least a half hour. I was laughing while her daughter shot me evil looks and her mom was bleeding all over the floor. I was not anyone's favorite any longer, let me tell ya:) And, no, Challis still doesn't have a sense of humor about the cat spraying her new permed hair. lol hugs  Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I think it was back in 1957 - we were back from Hawaii and Fort , Arkansas - two houses down Judy was hangig clothes on a very windy day - she had her new baby - 6 months old or something - he was in one of those first pumpkin seats - he was well wrapped up spring of 1968 we had a car seat - basically fake rubber back and seat padded and a padded rail around the child - I was driving the 1964 rambler - when we were going to the mountains - my ex took the motorcycle and went ahead - Evan and I brought the cameras, lunch, everything for the baby etc. Evan was Jewish and we all ran around at the Craft Shop on Post - Thursday night he gave me a phone number where he would be on Friday - I had a set time to call - he would tell me where to pick him up - he drove and we went into town to get all the ingredients for the Friday service - well after service at the Jewish - they didn't have a Rabbi - Evan cooked and they ate after service - we would bring the stuff back and he would take in in and store it and I dropped him off wherever he needed to be we both got good at throwing out an arm when he had to stop to protect Bob - he though it was funny raising kids in the middle ages God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there. Guest guest
Nope... no perms for Challis ever after the "perm incident". lol She wears her hair long (to her waist) and in a long braid most of the time. lolI was a favored person by my in laws because I am oh, so wonderful don't you know. lol Truly I was on their good side. My mil finally "pardoned" me but it took a long, long time. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Hopefully he will learn his lesson after having to be an outside cat for awhile. Let me tell you what happened to me a few days ago. I was filling out my new NARCOMS questionnaire. My granddaughter's cat "Bob" got on my lap, turned his rear toward me and sprayed urine on me and the NARCOMS booklet! Dang cat!!! I made dinner, had a normal evening, and when I went to bed the kitty came up. I hadn't been allowing him on my bed for a couple of nights because on Sunday night he'd come up and proceeded to PEE on my bed! Elaine is going to come over today and collect my sheets, she's volunteered to wash them for me...the next night he came up and landed on my face with claws extended, leaving three lovely holes right under my lower lip...but last night I let him come up, he seemed to settle in and then proceeded to PEE ONCE AGAIN. So for now he is an OUTSIDE cat. I have 2 sets of sheets and he peed on both of them. So Elaine will have two sets to wash for me, and 1 a.m found me trying to scrounge up something to sleep on. I found something but only had blankets to cover so slept uncovered. *sigh* ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -------Original Message------- From: Kate Rothschild Date: 4/20/2011 9:57:45 AM To: MSersLife Subject: Re: Akiba...Akiba update Hey, coolio! Robbin is now 5' 7-1/2", 170 lbs. He will be going to the optometrist to have his eyes checked. I will be going to Jax at some point for a neuro appt. I weigh less then I have at any time since before I met Rob...my magical number...222. Robbin is also supposed to put his bike to more frequent use. They also took a buttload of blood from me, but I think they left me some. Robbin of course decided to peek into the room just at the point where she was filling the vials...bad timing... We also have a brand spanking new fridge, as the old one pooped out at a little after midnight last night. No reason, just...well...stopped. Must be something electric, as the lights didn't even come on. Barry got me a new one, here and installed by noon. And he said he will be renewing my lease for me (yaay). And he is going to replace all of the window blinds, and put ones on the two windows that don't have them. The new fridge is also more energy conservative then the other one, so what with that and new blinds it might help keep the place cooler and my bill lower... Guest guest
Happy to hear you were pardoned.. eventually.. As I said earlier, I wasn't favored.. wasn't mistreated either.. just was kind of "there" and tolerated.... the in-laws (MIL died the summer Earl was born, so had been gone awhile) finally took an interest.. AFTER I'd left Bill and then got the Dx... than they ever did before that.. When the "micro-burst" (they wouldn't classify it as a tornado, cause no "official" weather spotter saw the thing bounce over the hill) destroyed our mobile home.. and took the roof off the "chicken house" next to our home.. Bill's brother came round.. then decided it would be better to NOT ask him to help them tear the chicken house down.. I pretty much assume, evil of me I know, that they didn't ask him, because they didn't want to do a turnabout of fair play in our demolition project.. they only had a metal roof (in sheets) to finish removing and then the block walls to be taken down.... we had an entire housing structure... Ah.. but we had my dad.. who retired, had nothing better to do, than take it upon himself to take apart and salvage as much as he possibly could from ours.. he dried out the insulation and then rolled it for future use once dried.. he saved some of the masonite siding that wasn't cracked or broken.. and a whole bunch of 2 by 4's as well.. And all that he salvaged was used somewhere for something later... saving somebody a few bucks.. saved us a couple or three when we pulled in the replacement trailer and it needed skirting.. and a toilet needed replacing.. and then a bathtub... worked for me.. and kept dad out of trouble for a few weeks that summer as well!
