Guest guest
HI a There's not much by way of more advice regarding before surgery I can give except, just keep on researching and reading posts in here and asking questions.. The more you learn before the day the better you will be at dealing with things whilst in hospital and recovering at home.. but as for after surgery?? Well just try and not to eat solid foods BEFORE when you are supposed to after the surgery..It will be a while before the stomach pouch and stoma will be healed properly.. The full fluids and semi solid foods bit can be boring, but it is neccessary.. If you can, try lessening the amount of food you eat before you go into hospital.. It'll help with dealing the amount of food you will have to eat after the operation.. And even more important: BE POSITIVE!!! Positive thinking is - I think it is - important in the recovery stages post op.... " positive thinking brings positive things " .. Re: nerves Thank you very much and . I know it's okay to be nervous. I just cant wait till the day comes and goes. Thank you for the tips , about getting the house ready. Is there any other advice you can give me with my surgery less than a wek away? Anything would be helpful. Either before or after tips would be great. Thank You
