Hi Moneca,

Sorry to hear about your dd's tummy problems. I do know that the chelators

sometimes give people heartburn, wondering if that has something to do with what

you are seeing. Due to this, I have known some kids to vomit while on them,

normally this will just happen in the beginning of chelation and it sometimes

help to reduce the dose until they get used to the chelators.

I hope you find the answer to this.

Any thoughts on abdominal pain with

chelation?

Hi.

I've been following Cutler's protocol since April 2006. It has gone

very well. I started my daughter on it becuase I've had such good

results. We just sent another UTM on her since we increased her ALA

and she had elevated mercury excretion which we were very pleased to

see. I've vere perplexed by one symptom and I was hoping some folks

on this board could shed some light on it for me. Since increasing

her ALA to one third her body weight she has had stomach pain. All

her yeast symptoms are under conrtol except for a slight flare that

occurs the thrid day of chelation and first day off round. She is on

a huge aresnal of natural antifungals and probiotics. She has not had

this stomach pain before even when her yeast was horrible. The pain

is intermittent throughout the day occuring only whe eating or

drinking (even just water). Sometimes it causes her to vomit and

squating seems to help her feel better.

This week I did not use any ALA hoping to give her body a break, but

the pain has not subsided. I've been reaing about entercolitis, but

she never has diarrhea or bloody stools. I've asked this question on

two different children's chleation groups. I'm hoping that some of

the adults here can share some of their experiences and thoughts.

Thanks!

Moneca

Hi Moneca,

Perhaps epsom baths plus bicarb in bathwater would help, increasing Mg

levels for relaxation and nerves, sulphate for liver, could be

constipation that she is not even aware of. You can do " normal daily

BMS " but still have impaction issues. Xray would give an answer here.

More Vitamin C too ???

I find alkalising salts in night-dosing fluids wipes out reflux caused

by ALA (only seems to bother me at night).

na,

Thank you for the ideas. I do give her sea minerals each day that are

heavy in mag and she also gets 2gms of C per day to help with any

yeast die-off she might be dealing with. Every so often she gets a

few extra drops of mag and this cleans her out well as she is at

bowel tolerance dose. Since the stomach pain started she has been

having 2-3 formed stools each day. Thanks for all the tips.

Thanks for your thoughts. After taking a week off I did resume the

glutathione yesterday, but changed the timing which seemed to help

dinner stay down. I'll continue to keep the new timing and see what

happens. I'm going to try resuming ALA tomorrow, but at half the

dose. I have a feeling that this is due to mobilizing the mercury

since her stomach is the weakest spot in her physiology.

Thanks,

Moneca

What form of glutathione are you giving her? Maybe that has something

to do with it.

I don't think Andy recommends giving any form of glutathione but using

antioxidants to recycle the existing glutathione and precursors and

enzyme cofactors to encourage the body to make more on it's own.

I'm giving lipoceutical glutathione from brainchild nutritionals. The

stomach pain started before I started the glutathione on her.

Actually someone on this list mentioned ulcer earlier and I'm

starting to think that or gastritis. She only has the pain when

eating or drinking, but never between meals or snacks. I just never

thought that way becuase 3 yo children don't get ulcers.

Thanks!
