Guest guest
I am interested in knowing the same. Please let me know. My son is 6. Thanks ------------------------------ >Does anyone have any personal experience, positive or negative regarding this school? Please email me privately with negative experiences/comments. I am considering enrolling my 7 y.o.(Asperger's) there. Are they providing the services public school does: Speech and OT? How they monitor progress for your child, if no IEP? If no progress made, what is being done, what options you have as a parent? > >Thank you! >
Guest guest
I think its designed for high functioning kids. I don't know the answers to your specific questions, though. I used to know a kid who went there and he and his parents really liked the school. He is very high functioning and other difficulty with certain speech sounds, you couldn't really tell he had a developmental disability until you spent a little time with him. He wasn't diagnosed with autism. He could drive alone, even at night, when he was 17. I called there a couple of years ago and spoke to the principal. He basically screened us over the phone. He suggested that we come and tour the place but I could tell from what he said on the phone that it wasn't a fit because my son needs a smaller group and a lot of attention so we didn't bother. My son has a 253 matrix # and their students had lower matrix numbers. Give them a call and tour the place. Its the only way to know. Something could have changed since then. Have the IEP and psych eval handy and know your child's matrix number when you call. The principal asked for the matrix # and certain info from both documents. Good luck. I am interested in knowing the same. Please let me know. My son is 6. Thanks ------------------------------ >Does anyone have any personal experience, positive or negative regarding this school? Guest guest
If your child has any emotional or behavioral issues they won't take them is what I was told a couple of years ago.
