Guest guest
I'm doing well since getting a distiller, but still run water through a Brita afterward. The carbon-type part of the filtration pitcher in the Waterwise unit didn't seem to be doing the job. I'm aware of the mineral issues, but take a lot of them, too, and have to counter balance that issue versus pollutant issues. I think it depends a lot on where you live and specific sensitivities. I have no tolerance for chlorine and can detect it in the water. We put a filter on the shower and it makes a wonderful difference for me. City water has a lot of additives; I think I've got the flouride out this way, too. I can't tolerate even a whiff of the residue that's left in our distiller. There's so much, I have to soak the pitcher and clean it out after every use. Doesn't that say something? Regionally, we're in Appalacian mountains where water is notorious for pollutant problems, including arsenic & mercury. Just a few miles downstream, there are major benzene issues. Individually, we have to take different factors into account. I strongly feel minimizing exposures from water has contributed to my increased energy level and probably has been promoting the chelation process, which is going very well.
