Maybe he needs to take a reading break in his own waiting room. This is not a safe protocol and makes many people worse. Have you removed all dental amalgams? If not, please don't use any chelators. > and repeat cycle 3 times. You are lucky if you did not have problems with these doses. I suggest you get smaller caps for now (www.vrp.com sells 25 mg caps) and start with a dose of 12.5 mg every 4 hours, including at night. > I'm also wondering if I should stop taking the ALA when I stop the DMSA. You should wait 3 months after amalgam removal before using any ALA. Please review the files and links for more information on how to chelate safely. -- > Thank you, > Debby >
Guest guest
, I got my amalgams out over 10 years ago - and after that I replaced crowns. I have no metal in my mouth. I did the IV chelation for about a year - DMPS & CA-EDTA - 2 years ago, but now know that it's dangerous. Plus, I still had metal under my crowns at the time. I've been taking ALA every day for about 20 years (I'm 51 years old) just for a good antioxidant. I had no idea that it should be taken only with strict guidance. So, my brain is a mess and I want to do it right. The reason I asked about dividing my 250 mg caps is because they cost me $144.50 and I hate to waste it.... though it may be impossible to divide it up in such small amounts. Should the ALA only be taken with the DMSA or is it OK to take continuously like I've been doing? Thanks, Debby -- lucky if you did not have problems with these doses. I suggest you get smaller caps for now (www.vrp.com sells 25 mg caps) and start with a dose of 12.5 mg every 4 hours, including at night. > --

Put the bottle in a plastic bag with some dessicant if you can find some (they put small packages of dessicant in most bottles of supplements, you can just add then to the DMSA bag as you use the supplements). Anyway, in the future when you get to larger doses you can open the 250 mg caps and cut to smaller doses on a piece of paper, but for now it would be better to obtain 25 mg caps and then you only have to divide by 2 to get 12.5 mg.** > Should the ALA only be taken with the DMSA or is it OK to take continuously like I've been doing? > **I'm not sure exactly what you have been doing. For now, stop the ALA and the high dose DMSA. Read through TKs general chelation recommendation in the files section. Also look at Andy's books and Andy index in the links section (and other interesting files and links). When you start chelating with 12.5 mg doses of DMSA you would do best to try some rounds of DMSA alone before adding ALA. When ALA is added it is taken at the same time as DMSA (every 3 h in the daytime and 4 h at night around the clock for at least 3 days) and the ALA is left out of the last couple of doses of the round. Got it??** J > Thanks, Debby > > -- lucky if you did not have problems with these doses. > I suggest you get smaller caps for now (www.vrp.com sells 25 mg > caps) and start with a dose of 12.5 mg every 4 hours, including > at night. > > > -- >

All you can do at this point is stop taking it this way and get onto a good, safe protocol. only with strict guidance. So, my brain is a mess and I want to do it Whatever your brain symptoms are, I suggest you look into appropriate treatment, if you haven't. Chelation can stir up symptoms and you want to be sure you are have things under control. right. The reason I asked about dividing my 250 mg caps is because they cost me $144.50 and I hate to waste it.... though it may be You can use it later. When you reach higher doses, it will be easier to split these caps (eg, 250/4 = 62.5 mg). For now, I suggest getting 25 mg caps and starting with 12.5 mg doses (1/2 cap). impossible to divide it up in such small amounts. > Should the ALA only be taken with the DMSA or is it OK to take continuously like I've been doing? I suggest doing as suggested, which is basically to start at square one. Drop the ALA. Start using DMSA in small, frequent doses as described in the files (see TK's chelation advice). You need to use it in rounds - at least 3 days on and 3 or more days off. Once you have found a comfortable dose of DMSA, you can add the ALA, in similarly small, frequent doses (3 hour intervals, including at night). Are you on a good supplement program? This is important. Andy's book gives a list of the most important supplements and also suggests many others that may help you with different symptoms. -- > Thanks, Debby > > -- lucky if you did not have problems with these doses. > I suggest you get smaller caps for now (www.vrp.com sells 25 mg > caps) and start with a dose of 12.5 mg every 4 hours, including > at night. > > > -- >
