Guest guest
Sharon, I'm confuzzled. Today golf in Tuscon was cancelled due to hail? Yet my Nascar was fine in Phoenix. Speaking of which WTG Jeff, I can start wearing your hat again and not be laughed at . I woke up to snow this morning so went back to sleep. I'm so sick of winter ... hugs, Cait
Guest guest
Yep, Arizona gets hail:) We get all sorts of "weather" from parched desert heat to alpine winter weather. We had snow overnight here but then the day turned sunny and cold. We get snow often here where I am but some areas are deep in snow for months on end--kind of like it was for me in Alaska. There are sled dog races not far from me. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
my heart sister lives up north in Camp Verde near Sedona - two of the boy cats that hate being inside came in - a boxer and a pitbull were explaining to a coyote on the next block he wasn't wanted - it is a subdivision - but in the boonies - the rain changed to snow and thunder was major - add her wind chimes and she did not get much sleepGod, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there. Guest guest
They hold sled dog races near Flagstaff and also here in the White Mountains at Sunrise Park which is owned by the Apache Tribe. Here's a link to info on Sunrise Park which is a ski resort in winter and has great summer fishing at Sunrise Lake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunrise_Peak_%28Arizona%29#Mountain_statisticsArizona is a land of many contrasts. We have all the climates from desert to alpine. I lived in the desert for many years but I love living in the mountains!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Well not ALL of Az is desert, ya know! I remember traveling through Flagstaff, went to bed, and the next morning when I awoke there were 3-4" of snow and falling fast...barely made it out of the hotel parking lot, shortly after I got on the interstate a tow truck went in front of me and broke up the snow, so I was able to keep going till I dropped into the valley. He was a guardian angel that day, whether he knows it or not. I was watching cars spin out left and right, I was in an astro van, heavily loaded since I was going to an SCA event and had all of my stuff, my merchandise (I sold crystals and beads) and all of the stuff from Daveed (a fairly famous dumbek drummer, and a very good friend) ad I was taking it to the event for him, so thankfully I was quite heavy, and that helped a lot! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- Hail in Arizona???? Guest guest
Many people have the wrong idea of Arizona. The desert and the cactus are the famous parts I guess. Oh then there is the Grand Canyon... forgot about that. Only half the state is desert:) SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
