Guest guest
Yea for fresh tomatoes,Donna! It looks like we can plant this weekend. Hopefully. Finally there are no freezing temps or snow in our weather forecast. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We haven't had a garden since.. well.. forever it seems. Depending on friends to toss a few homegrown tomatoes are direction (and Cindy always did send us a few).. Lettuce & Green Onions.. Well.. this year, decided that we ARE going to have a garden.. just not a traditional type.. He bought one of those upside down tomato planters things.. and I've got 3 plants growing out the bottom of a hanging basket on my porch.. Didn't plant any petunias or other flowers in that long rectangular porch box this year either.. instead it will produce lettuce, spinach & green onions for us.. set it up on something so that it will be out of "pee reach" for the puppies!.. I'm so glad he thinks outside the box every once in awhile.. HUGS |)onna I woke to snow on the ground this morning. It was patchy-- but there. It's a good thing we didn't plant our garden yet. It's always so tempting to get things planted when the warm weather hits. But it's not unusual to still have freezing temps or snow into the middle or last of May. SOME spring weather, huh? lol hugs Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Sharon, Around here.. oh if my memory isn't completely shot.. and other than the farmers already having (at least some of them) made their first cut for hay, and planting their corn & wheat.. most people are just putting in their gardens.. harvest doesn't come until August/September sometime.. It sounds like you're going to be having a PA plant/grow/harvest season this year.. Oh.. and how I love toast & mater sammiches.. with salt & pepper and a swath of Helman's.. yum yum yum.. can almost taste them now.. specially if the maters are warm from the sun!
