Guest guest
Yes.. Exactly I am in Canada.. So it might be easier . I am going to be doing some research I mean how much worse can it be when you compare it to all the other strong meds we could be prescribed Not that I would be driving a car .. Or anything like that. I would just like to feel normal. OMG normal.. I said that dreaded N word.. LOL Some days with the pain you start to believe the other peoples hype.. You start to think I just have to push through and suck it up.. I know that's not true.. But emotionally chronic pain can really get to you. I am a mom.. And a great community person who is very active.. It kills me to be sidelined like this It seemed to really hit me with early onset menopause. -- Re: Demon Marijuana vs. FibroBeast - A QUESTION Hey, I was wondering. I know that they do make a drug called marinol which is some type of marijuana based medication. I don't know if it is in every state or not. I also am not sure it works the same way as the real stuff. But... I wonder if they have ever considered RX it for fibro? I know it is prescribed for nausea and to improve appetite...(I don't need the appetite part... LOL). Just a question. Guess I need to look it up and learn more about it. However I will say that if marijuana is the one thing that helps someone with this illness, it should be legally prescribed. Of course, the drug itself has such a stigma it probably would not be prescribed. love and hugs, Debra V. Jeanne and Dave wrote: Write to your congressman and senators, both federal and state. Make a case for legalizing it for medical purposes. I'm sure it's much cheaper than Lyrica, and like you said works much better. Go for it, . Jeanne in WI OK for the record I'm not smoking pot however if it were legal I would be in line@ where ever the hell it would be available BECAUSE when it comes to nerve pain Lyrica can't hold a candle to it!!! NUFF SAID ! ! ! . . . GOD Bless ME . . . GOD grant me the serenityto accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I canand the wisdom to know the difference. Amen ! ! ! Guest guest
Just to chime in on the marijuana question, if it was legally available in Texas, I would qualify for it, and I would use it. I do wish that they could come up with some synthetic form, however, that would contain the same benefits as marijuana but without the " munchies " side effect. I'm afraid I'd be the size of a small blimp if I smoked pot regularly! It defintely does a lot more for pain and muscle tension than most Rx medications I've tried over many years. Of course, I find that scotch works pretty well, too, and it's legal! Paine To contribute to my book, please contact me at fibrobook@...
