Hi, If you are moving out east (Ft. Lauderdale, Hallandale, Aventura), the schools closer to the beach are usually better. If you are out West (Davie, City, Plantation, Weston), there are a lot of good community schools. You’ll want to make sure his IEP will transfer over and he can still get the classroom supports. We have 2 elementary school aged boys, the oldest of which has autism. Jaxon is almost 9 years old, high functioning, and currently attends a regular class with supports. Wondering what neighborhoods/schools in the area have shown to be positive environments for kids on the spectrum? We want to take schools into consideration first before finding a place to live. Any recommendations? Advice?
