Guest guest
Regarding Dr. Udell, for the labwork for blood, does he have someone on staff that can take blood from the kids, or are you just given the kit and left to go to your own lab to do this? Thanks. AP Subject: Re: Dr Udell's fees? The possible answer to this question. To: sList Date: Sunday, February 19, 2012, 7:41 PM It could be because if he accepts insurance, he must charge all of his patients the same fee for services. He could NOT use a sliding scale of fees so that he could help more people, including people who do not have insurance. In Florida, a doctor may not discriminate and therefore must charge cash paying patients the same as he charges an insurance company. In many cases the doctor must charge the insurance company $100 to get paid $35 by them. He doesn't get $100. He only gets a check for $35, BUT he can't charge a cash paying customer $35. That would be considered discrimination, so he has to charge everyone $100. The doctor may choose not to accept insurance because of this, and he may use a sliding scale for people who have little or no money to spare. If you want to talk about dr fees, e-mail each other privately. Dr. Udell (or any or Dr) has the right to charge what they deem fair for their services. I have taken a few friends and family members to Dr. Udell and he spends TONS OF TIME! He is a B.C. Pediatrician, not something that you are likely to find in the world of DAN! drs. Most have taken a few courses and go about it. Dr. Udell researches everything fully and his experience of what is safe, and what is not, is worth every penny.> > > Shari Shine> " A Miracle A Day"> > > > Shari Shine> " A Miracle A Day">
