Guest guest
Thank you for expressing your concerns. There are many wonderful camps throughout Broward County that provide specialized services and inclusive services. Each program is unique so that there are options to address the diverse needs of all of our community's children. Kamp Krayola serves children with moderate to severe behavioral issues, including aggression. Because of these unique needs, ratios are 1:1 and 1:2. Safety of all children is our highest priority. Staff are trained to prevent aggression and protect other chidlren but that cannot always be guaranteed. All of the registration information, including eligibility documents, share this information. I am sorry that you didn't seem aware of this until now. We will work closely with you and with all parents to address their children's needs. I asked her if they have different groups since mine son is not aggressive at all and she said NO. Raise a lot of concern to me the fact that other children may get hurt!!!! Guest guest
Good Morning All As a mom of one of the first campers of Kamp Krayola I can tell you that Kamp Krayola was created for the children that the other camps wouldn't take. And yes scratches, bites and shoves happen and its not the place for everyone, but in my opinion ARC has the most dedicated, committed & loving staff out there and I'm just not talking the one on one staff that work directly with the children I'm talking from Dennis Haas all the way down!!! I know the original email wasn't knocking Kamp Krayola I just like to Brag on them when i can!! Robyn W.
