The Archer Disability Foundation partners with the Small Business Development Center and Procurement Technical Assistance Center Program at Palm Beach State College, Boca Raton Campus to host a Workforce Development event to educate small businesses to recruiting and hiring best practices in employing persons with disabilities.

The event will merge the best practices and recruiting tips of large corporations and highlight success stories of government agencies who have support resources in place as job placement, on the job training and support employment coaching.

A new concept in leadership and utilizing government resources to create a diverse workplace will educate businesses on how to employ the talents and contributions of a job seeker with a disability. This recruiting practice helps businesses grow with low- no turn over in addition to having a loyal hard working employee.

Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will inform small business owners the support services available in hiring persons with disabilities, job coaches and follow along services from Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and with the success of employment comes independent living options.

The Florida Independent Living Council, Inc. purpose is to promote independent living opportunities for people with disabilities throughout the state of Florida.

Archer Disability Foundation & our workforce development partners will share corporate best practices in recruiting and employing the talents of persons with disabilities.
