Guest guest
Jim, Are you taking tablets or powder. Often it is the filler in the tablets that causes Diarrhea. Vitamin C only last 2 to 3 hours in the body it is water soluble. Have you tried breaking up the tablets and taking them through out the day at intervals. Ester C is non acidic, stomach friendly it is a water based process that combines VC with calcium without chemical solvents. It could very well be an option for you. HORMONES - ADRENAL PROTOCOLS Vitamin C 3000mg three times a day http://www.thecompounder.com/hormonesadrenalprotocol.php From: Jim Witte Re: Tolerating Magnesium > I have to balance it w calcium and the diarrhea no happen. Is there a similar " balace " for Vit C (simple ascorbic acid, not including all the useful cofactors). I took about 3 g one day, got diarrhea, then dropped to 1g, still got it, then dropped the 1.2g and STILL got it. As people have said their tolerance seems to be what they're adrenals need.. I can't believe that my adrenals only need less than 500 mg/d - unless Vit C stays in the body a while, so I'm stil " working out " the relatively huge 3g dose. Unless it's those co- factors that are the balancing nutrients.. Did someone say once that Ester-C or an ascorbic acid complex will be tolerated better? Guest guest
Hi Jim, My experience was that Armour gave me diarrhea - until I got on a good dose of HC, it was awful. I could barely take 500mg a day. Now, I use 3000-4000mg a day. I use Natrol Ester C because it is easier on my stomach. >>> Is there a similar " balace " for Vit C (simple ascorbic acid, not including all the useful cofactors).
