What you can count on is the general trend Andy describes on p. 52 of his book - if you don't chelate, within a few months you will feel a lot worse. > Right now, my game plan is to take it easy, use Andy's supplement regime, sauna every > other day, and monitor. If I get symptoms, I may DMPS/DMSA according to Andy's regime. If you tolerate the sauna, it will help. Just be careful and don't overdo it. > Does this sound like a plan? Might it be worth it to try DMSA fairly soon as a test? As a test of whether you are toxic, and (assuming you are toxic) ongoing as a way to offset the worsening that occurs when your body starts to get rid of the mercury. -- > Thanks. >
Guest guest
Hi, After my amalgam removal I felt so good, thought I was " cured " until about two and a half months later.... Looking back I wish I would've started chelate earlier. It could've saved me a lot of discomfort. While I was waiting for my DMSA to come in the mail (no sources around here), I had a terrible time. Headaches, depression, severe mood swings - every one of my prior symptoms X 100, plus some new ones! In my opinion, chelation is necessary. I had five amalgams, they were very small, and I am suprised how poisoned I was. Christy > > > > Hi, > > > > I had 5 amalgams removed, the last today. Guest guest
Christy, So, did chelating help your symtoms? I just saw a doc - thank frigging god - who understands mercury. He has his own chelating protocol that Andy Cutler would NOT like, but this doc actually is willing to let me chelate according to Andy's protocol. Including DMPS prescription. Hope you're well, > > Hi, > After my amalgam removal I felt so good, thought I was " cured " until > about two and a half months later.... Looking back I wish I would've > started chelate earlier. If so, would you mind sharing the doc's contact info? Thanks so much!
Guest guest
, I am only on round four of DMSA as of today, but I can tell you that I feel a definite improvement. I started on 12.5mg for the first two rounds, now I am on 25mg every 4h, and I plan to start using ALA along with DMSA when I have reached four months post amalgam removal. When the " dumping " starts it is so intense. The frequent dose chelation helps alleviate the symptoms tremendously. Please take into consideration that I am supplementing with array of products tailored to my problems specifically. For instance, I have adrenal, thyroid, and hormone problems. I am on Standard Process Symplex F for support for these issues. I have found that Standard Process works great for me, and the price is unbeatable. I also use SP for B vitamins and Iodine. I do supplement with magnesium, living calcium, living C, as well as herbal support for liver function. I really think that supplementing for your specific needs will help you along during the chelation process - its just as important as chelate itself. The way I feel since chelation goes like this...first day on I feel good, second day okay, third day tired and headaches. The first day off of chelate tired and headaches, second-fourth day off- better than I have felt in a decade (keeps improving). If I skip a round, I start feeling bad about the sixth day off again (I guess more dumping). So I will try not to skip anymore. I hope this gives you a good idea of what to expect, but remember everyone's different. I am glad you are using Andy's protocol. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but now, going through it, it makes a lot of sense. But my philosophy is that this stuff has so many variables, no one can figure it all out. Period. Plus, this guy's own mercury chelating protocols are bad bad bad, if you believe Andy Cutler (as I do). He wants to do an IV DMPS challenge with me (which I am not going to do). However, he WILL prescribe DMPS and let me use it on Andy's protocol, which is why I'm sticking with him. It seems like the best I can do for now in terms of a doc. Good luck. http://themorrisoncenter.com/
Guest guest
Thanks for the report. I'm on my first round of propery dmsa. I had tried PeGlysomal dmsa and although it may be a good product and more bioavailable, there is no information about it's use. May be Andy will take a look at it. In the right dose it may allow you to get thru the night without setting the alarm.
