It is still possible to be mercury poisoned if the greatest exposures to mercury were long ago and the mercury is mostly hidden in the brain. Supplementation can sometimes contribute to normalizing hair test. The next step would be a trial of chelation. Consistent symptoms with a trial of chelation would indicate toxicity.
