Guest guest
I have received two treatments with " Venofer " 300mg.... they attach the saline bag and drip that first and then add the Venofer... As long as there are no complications, I was in and out in 1 hour the last time... I don't test my blood until the 25th of the month and follow-up with the doc the following week... I had to go through prior-authorization with my insurance company but they approved it... > > Hi all, > > I was wondering, from those of you who have done the iron IVs, what is the procedure like? How much do they cost if insurance won't cover it? How long does it take? Do they put anything else into your IV? What type/brand of iron are you receiving? Any adverse effects at all? > > Thanks! > Christy >

If another IV med is also needed, it is NOT mixed with the Venofer bag, it is given in a separate bag, either before or after the Venofer IV is finished. > > Hi all, > > I was wondering, from those of you who have done the iron IVs, what is the procedure like?
