For a public school McFatter High School (magnet program) is a good school. For

a private school, you could check W. Independence High - (9540 792-0004 they are

in Southwest Ft. Lauderdale. A friend sent her daughter to the school on McKay,

but her child was not high functioning. The school works with a diverse group

of students. They also offer transitional training to their students.

with autism in Broward County?  I am trying to find a scho ol where the staff

is knowledgeable about  the needs of a child with autism and is willing to

implement the strategies necesary to help them function in school, such as

social stories, sensory diet if needed, accomodations in curriculum, fostering

social skills, etc.
